Casino Yellowhead’s poker room is the largest poker room in the city. On average they will run two 3-6 Texas Hold’em fixed limit games and anywhere from two to six 1-2 No Limit Texas Hold’em, with a max buy-in for $500. During the Canadian Poker Tour weeks you will see higher games being played.

River Cree Resort & Casino - (780) 930 2707 - Whitemud Drive and Winterburn Road
The River Cree Poker room on the Enoch reserve is by far the nicest poker room in Edmonton. It features some of the best and biggest action games in the city. You will find a nightly 5-5 Pot Limit Dealers Choice game that runs for several hours. There is normally one or two 3-6 Texas Hold’em fixed limit games, along with 3-5 tables of 1-2 No Limit Texas Hold’em, with a max buy-in of $500. On weekends and during tournaments you will see games go as high as 25-50 Pot Limit Dealers Choice.
Tournaments: The tournament schedule at River Cree changes monthly.
Casino Edmonton Poker Room - (780) 463 8181 - 7055 Argyll Road
Casino Edmonton is located on the South Side of the city and has room for over 10 poker tables. The poker room will usually have two to five 1/2 No limit Texas Hold’em, max $200 buy-in games going. Anywhere from one to three 3/6 games going and quite often there is a 5/5 Pot Sized game running. Saturday afternoons you will find the only 7 Card Stud game going in the city.

Baccarat Casino Poker Room - (780) 413 3178 - 10128 104 Avenue Northwest
The Baccarat Casino is located downtown and is a fairly small room. One of the best aspects of playing late night poker at Baccarat, is that at 3:00am they bring our free food that is actually good. The poker room is known for its great fixed limit games. There are usually four or five games running, two being 4-8 half Omaha half Hold’em, with an average pot size of $200! The other games are usually a 3-6 fixed limit Hold’em game. There is a 1-2 No Limit Holdem game with a max buy-in of $1,000 that runs once and a while. On Wednesday’s there is a 5-5 Pot Limit Dealers Choice game that starts around 2:00PM.

Century Casino - (780) 643 4000 - 13103 Fort Road
Century Casino’s poker room is the newest addition to the Edmonton Poker scene. In fall 2007 the poker room changed its hours of operation and is now open 24 hours. The poker room usually has 1-2 No Limit Texas Hold’em, with a max buy-in of $500. On Tuesdays and Thursdays you will find a 5-5 Pot Limit Dealers Choice game that starts up around 7:00 pm, which is also starting to occur on other days as well.
Palace Casino - (780) 444-2112 - West Edmonton Mall
The Palace Casino poker room is fairly small and only holds 8 tables max. It’s also one of the slowest poker rooms in the city. There are usually only one or two games being played. You will usually see a 3-6 Texas Hold’em fixed limit game and a 1-2 No Limit Texas Hold’em, with a max buy-in of $500. However, if you ever run across a dealer’s choice game going here, they tend to be a little juicier than other casinos.
